Vice President Pence was right when he told the Faith and Freedom Coalition that it’s not compassionate to have open borders, “There’s nothing compassionate about refusing to change the laws that human traffickers use to take advantage of poor families.’ He continued “Those who would advocate open borders, free healthcare for illegal immigrants and making illegal immigration legal are making it easier for human traffickers to mistreat poor and vulnerable families. That is morally wrong. And that has got to stop.” And it does. And not because we’re not caring, but because we’re a country. With borders. And laws. And rights, as American citizens, to decide who comes in.
I’m old enough to remember when literally everyone on the Left, as well as the Never-Trumpers on MessNBC and elsewhere, were mocking President Trump and in the regular montages of DNC distributed talking points, calling the border invasion a ‘manufactured crisis’. That is, until they figured out how they could use it to benefit themselves, and then all of sudden these marauding caravans became political tools, used as a cudgel against the President and Republicans. ‘Trump’s putting kids in cages’ they screamed, even though the very ‘cages’ they referred to were actually built during the Obama administration, recently confirmed and reiterated by his DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson, surprisingly. ‘Well that was then, this is now’ is the refrain from the crowing politicians and celebrities, if they even acknowledged that truth at all. Democrats have made it clear that a) they are absolute hypocrites when it comes to illegal immigration and outrage over detention and deportation, and b) they’re just not that into American citizens.
They’ve called for the abolishment of ICE and border patrol and smeared and besmirched them, while at the same time criticizing anyone who calls for border security a bigot, all with a fawning press, eager for any opportunity to elevate them and crucify us. Comrade Cortez Tweeted out pictures of her supposedly at an immigration detention camp, which she calls ‘concentration camps’ – to the disrespect of actual Holocaust concentration camp survivors – but which were actually fake and just a staged photo-op in front of an empty parking lot. She also lied about the migrants ‘drinking water out of the toilet’, and was proven so by the border patrol agent who filmed a video from the same standard upper/lower sink/toilet systems that are in many facilities, including prisons, where he not only drank the water himself, but showed that there are water coolers in the rooms where the migrants stay. She voted against providing humanitarian aid to them, and encouraged a walkout of the company Wayfair because ICE had contracted with them to buy beds for the centers. She ‘cares’ so much about them she voted against aid and she’d rather they sleep on the floor than have beds? With friends like that…
Bobby Francis O’Rourke, aka Beto, actually visited Mexico and listened to ‘tearful’ immigrants say they fled Central American violence and turmoil to seek asylum in the U.S., but were turned away at the border. And if you’ll remember, Project Veritas released a nearly 24-minute video featuring undercover footage from the O’Rourke Senatorial campaign, purporting to show staffers “using campaign resources to buy supplies and help transport Honduran aliens in one of the migrant caravans of 2018.” Has he ever visited with ‘tearful’ American CITIZEN Angel Mothers and families who’s loved ones have been murdered by illegal aliens, like Jamiel Shaw Jr., who, not only was killed specifically because he was black, but whose mother was serving her 2nd tour in Iraq? She was serving in a foreign country while her own country was allowed to be invaded by people who shouldn’t have been here in the first place.
There’s another Democrat doing what O’Rourke is: according to multiple U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials, ‘Democrat Rep. Veronica Escobar (TX) is secretly sending staff to Mexico to find and coach migrants who are trying to enter the United States and is instructing them how to “exploit a loophole” to game the asylum process.’ Has she visited with any Angel Families or illegal alien crime victims? Or even a failing school in her district, likely run by Democrats, to address the needs of her citizen constituents? Have any Democrats done any of these things while they lament the conditions of the migrants?
When you spend your political capital prioritizing illegal aliens over your own citizens, you’re showing where your interest lies, and it’s clear the interest of the Democrat Party is with illegal aliens, and only because they think they’ll get their vote, and only certain kinds of illegal immigrants; the poor, uneducated, needy kind. It’s not like they’re advocating for a million more Nigerians or Swiss, or ‘Tiger Moms’ from Asian countries come here after all, they don’t tend to be government dependent when they arrive. And despite the argument, it’s simply not true that immigrants are ‘taking jobs Americans don’t want’. In some industries like agriculture and slaughterhouses, perhaps, but there are plenty of American men who want to do construction, landscaping, etc., I know them. But they’ve gotten priced out because companies use illegal labor which is cheaper.
And now the big-spender free everything Democrats who freaked out over Trump’s Independence Day celebration ‘Salute to America’, over a very small expenditure, want to give unlimited healthcare to illegals. Meanwhile over 60,000 people lay wasted on the streets of LA, San Francisco and Seattle among others – Democrat run cities – while the bloodbath continues in Chicago, and Democrats can’t be bothered to shed a tear.
Isn’t it interesting that not a SINGLE ONE of these so-called ‘compassionate’, ‘caring’ celebrities, media people or politicians shrieking all day long about the ‘kids in cages’ has adopted or sponsored any migrant child or family? Not even one! And they’re the wealthiest in our society.
Even if they didn’t want to have them in their own homes, they could build structures for them. Same thing with the homeless, many of whom live within walking distance of the cadre of Silicon Valley billionaires. Comrade Cortez hasn’t accepted any of them, nor has Pelosi, who has that particular affinity for the ‘spark of Divinity’ of MS-13 gang members. Nor has Rosie O’Donnell, or that B-rated but somehow very influential perpetual nuisance Alyssa Milano. I could go on and on and on. NONE OF THEM have any of the migrants living with them. But they don’t care of course, and it was ever so clear when they became hysterical when Trump said they would send the illegals to their sanctuary cities. NIMBY was in full effect – Not In My Back Yard. Such ‘caring’, liberals. Virtue is always a signal with them, never an action. They are hypocrites to their marrow, and I’m sick of their lectures.
I get it on the pain of illegal immigrants too, there are some people here that are here illegally but very hardworking, contributing, etc. and some maybe should stay. I worked with a girl like this. She was from one of the ‘triangle countries’ in Central America, worked as a 9 year old in the fields with her parents, I think in California, slept in the bed with her grandmother because that’s all the space they had. She grew up to be a lovely young lady, was well educated, spoke fluent English, and ended up getting a good job at an accounting firm. But that’s obviously because her parents were looking for the ‘American Dream’ rather than the American trough. She simply couldn’t have grown up so well if they’d had the ‘gimme’ entitlement mentality many of these modern illegal migrants have. She ended up becoming a citizen and the country is better for it. I doubt it would be so with the type of people who are like the woman traveling with one of the caravans who complained about the food in Tijuana, instead of being grateful for the hospitality of it’s residents that didn’t have to accept her, much less feed her.
American citizens and new legal immigrants, deserve to receive Americans First priority attention, period. Full stop, no qualifiers. And the people we elect need to start reflecting that or get voted out of office. They need to start representing ‘we the people’, not their donors. We pay our taxes after grinding it out everyday at our jobs. We vote them into office and pay their salaries, to service our needs – not the other way around. And they better start to understand that, because they’re not only pushing us into increasing anger, but the Democrat paramilitary wing Antifa is, literally, pushing us with violence, and we’re about to show them all what it means when we no longer exhibit restraint.
Though he’s been throttled every step of the way; by unelected federal judges with regard to immigration, and Democrats with, well, everything, President Trump is working to do just that – put American citizens first. And the Left is too stupid to understand that the more they ‘resist’ the more angry it makes the citizenry, because it shows the contempt they have for us. Trump wins, it’s what he does. He won with threatening Mexico with tariffs to help with the border, he’ll win with the citizenship question on the Census, he’ll win with China on trade, etc. He simply won’t stop until he does. And as long as he keeps working on his America First agenda and keeps his promises to his citizens, he’ll win re-election in 2020. As he said, ‘Americans are dreamers too’, and we’re not going to accept anything less than adherence to our desires, and all citizens should demand that our representatives act accordingly or else!
